EventNFA Walk of FAME May 4, '08 4:22 PM
for everyone
Start:     May 10, '08
Location:     Orange County, Calif
The National Fibromyalgia Association’s inaugural Walk of FAME is next Saturday! Have you formed or joined a team? This event is open to EVERYONE who wants to support the fibromyalgia community---not just those who live in Orange County, Calif.

Join the NFA’s annual commemoration of National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Here is how you can become involved in this important awareness and fundraising campaign:

Join and walk with one of the existing teams.
If you are unable to attend or live out of the area, become a virtual walker. This opportunity allows individuals to support the cause, without attending the event. All virtual walkers will have their names prominently displayed on a poster at the event and will also receive a Walk of FAME T-shirt.
Make a donation to one of the teams or on behalf of a walker.
Rally your family, friends and neighbors and create your own team.

Please take a moment to register for the Walk of FAME by clicking here. Then reach out to families and friends in your community and get them involved in this important cause.

Walk of FAME (Fibromyalgia Awareness Means Everything) is a part of the NFA’s annual commemoration of National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. This year’s theme is “Caring by Sharing,” a nationwide, multi-faceted campaign.

for everyone
I just got bumped up to 75 mg three times a day.  At first it made me so drowsy I could hardly stay awake - but they decreased it from 100 mg to 75 mg twice a day and that helped!  I'm doing good on the three times a day.  What are you on, how does it effect you and does it help you?

It's starting to tick me off a little - everyone I meet says they have fibromyalgia - so what is this the catch all diagnosis of the day or the "popular" disease.  Even when I was checked in the joint 2 nurses said something like this very snidely - We wish I could get off work with fibromyalgia, we have it - honey either they don't have it or docs are just passing this dx out like candy!  I can tell when the person truly has fibro.  Fibromites, how about you?  It just makes me mad a hell that I hurt from dawn to dawn and have to live in this hell and "they" think I have it easy because I have medical retirement.   I'd give almost anything to NOT have fibro and be able to do what I once could!  They should get down on their knees and beg GOD that they really never do get fibro.  When I get up in the morning I feel like I've been run over by a garbage truck, it stopped, backed-up and ran back over me a few more times.  Right now I am hurting so bad I can't stand it and I guess I have PMS to boot - hell - I should have made them take those dang ovaries when I had the chance - I'm moody, my breasts hurt so bad I wish they were removable and I' MOODY (did I mention that?).  I just don't know what is going on with me - I woke up from a dream and cried - I can't even remember what the dream was about - just crying.  I just wish Jesus would come -
