Great book but not the mystery I expected. While there was a mystery death in the book it did not dominate the book. The book was more about Jane, a writer, and Mel, a detective, deciding to get married and Jane's ex mother-in-law fro hell and her to be mother-in-law from hell. Jane decides to build Mel his own home office as a wedding present and a part of the book is taken over by building. A great deal of the book is put into getting ready for the tow weddings, the real civial wedding and the fake wedding to be thrown by the future mother-in-law from hell! Overall it was a good book and well worth reading. I'd be interested in reading some more by Jill Churchill.

If this doesn't make you glad to live in the here and now nothing will. If this doesn't make you glad to live in the US (or other democracy) nothing will!

An overview of history thugs from Genghis Kan and Hitler to modern day thugs such as Ferdinand Marcos and present thugs ruling Eastern Europe and Asia. Each bio gives a little sketch into how the man rose to power and what he did to get there and remain there. There is only one female given her own bio - Imelda Marcos. If you like history you'll like this book and don't be surprised to find your hero in the book, like Alexander the Great. A must read for all people. Learn what your history book didn't tell you!
