My step-daughter has just been dx with bi-polar disorder on the depressive side (uni-polar ?).  And my hubbie's wife has been dx as bi-polar for a long time.  What are the odds of the same man marrying 2 women who BOTH turn out to be bi-polar?  She's worse than I am though! Ha!  But isn't it weird?  I deliberately held off having a child till I was in my thirties as bi-polar MOST OFTEN manifests itself in the 20's so I could be sure I was alright to have a child (NOT pass on the gene!).  BUT, I guess due to the stresses in my life (posted on my site) the gene was turned on in my 30's.  So please join me in prayer that my son will NOT become bi-polar or by then they have a gene altering technique that can actually CURE bi-polar disorder in it's many forms!  What's your history?  (I come from a long line of nut jobs - bi-polar, schizophrenia, etc).
